The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
CWC created an application for students to request CARES Act aid. It was distributed to students deemed likely to be eligible according to the U.S. Department of Education guidance. In addition to name, student ID, and contact information, the form asked students to confirm their need was related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 (technology, transportation, internet, etc.) Applicants provided a brief description of their circumstances and details about their expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19.
